Jean F. Cochois is the Timewriter and arrived at the top ten years ago.
Since then he has developed and fine grinding his productions so that press, media and audiences agree on the fact that he is a master at his arts: Spinning at the most famous venues all over the globe, remixes for Mike Oldfield, Faithless, Yello, Boy George, Rammstein and many more… everything done? He doesn’t think so and presents his 5th album “Soulstickers” which will be attached close to the listeners’ souls for sure because that’s the place where they came into existence! Straight from the introduction which is “resetting the clocks” The Timewriter is creating intensive and emotional songs and takes you on a trip through his sonic world of pleasure.
“Soulstickers” follows his tradition of knitting together tracks with interludes and indicating an overall concept. The whole “story” incorporates the listener and you begin to feel like a character of a strongly emotional tale.
Looking at the track titles you get an impression where The Timewriter is aiming at: “Is this Life”, “Circling on a Train of Thoughts”, “Euphoria Days” ore “Sunshine in the Backyards” are the scenes of a story which is written by heart and soul – just “Soulstickers”. It’s a unique mixture of tech- and deephouse, soul and ambient which invite to exchanging some energy. The Timewriter is supposed to having already reached the peak, so he excelled his genius again!

Reverend And The Makers
Heavyweight Champion Of The World

**********************************
Reverend And The Makers release their debut single
'Heavyweight Champion Of The World' on May 28th 2007.
A strapping, intense 25-year-old, over the past couple
of years Jon 'Reverend' McClure has established
himself as the don of the Sheffield music scene.

Before he'd even signed a record deal he was
selling-out thousand-plus capacity venues in his
home city, curating his night Reverend Soundsystem
and collaborating, inspiring and conspiring with
the Steel City's key guitar-slinging players.

And now? He's ready to unleash his debut single.
A spiralling electro-funk anthem,
'Heavyweight Champion Of The World'
is the definitive eleventh commandment: '
Thou shalt not be like everybody else'.
It comes backed by '18-30' - a sharp snapshot
of boozed-up Brits abroad - and,
on the limited edition 7'', 'The Last Resort'
- a snappy spoken-word duet with McClure's
Mancunian punk-poet hero John Cooper Clarke.
.....::::::::: TIGA :::::::::....
(Van She / Tocadisco Mixes)
The Van She and Tocadisco remixes
of Tiga's anthemic 'You Gonna Want Me'.
First up, Tocadisco exhibit a reasonable
amount of restraint with the throbbing
techno maximalism of their version,
reducing the original down to a buzzing,
riff-heavy dancefloor beast, while over
on the B-side Van She transforms the
original into an electro-rock monster.

Prohibition delivers international
tastemaker DJs the best new
electronic music - first and free. "I love it" - Pete Tong "This is fantastic!" - Hernan Cattaneo "Untouchable" - Philippe Zdar "The coolest tracks- and the simplest system" - David Guetta "This is the only system that really works" - Dan Kahuna
Launched in 1996 by Peter Jarvis aka
DJ Peace Harvest, now owned and operated by
Melleny Melody and Musta Costa Fortune Inc.,
Toronto-based Play Records has become one
of Canada’s foremost labels for deep house and
downtempo music and an internationally
recognized purveyor of “new, fresh and
original vibes for the dancefloor”.

Play Records represents the best in
underground music geared for both
the dancefloor and the headspace.
Originally, Play Records took its cue
from the U.K.-based trip hop/breaks
scene and began licensing music from
small European labels like Dorado,
Orange Egg, Ninja Tune and Wall of Sound.
This move provided the company with
a primary source of material.

Play Records continues to lead
Canada's deep house and downtempo
music business. Keeping its eye on the
growing national and international demand
for original songs and infinitely talented
performing artists, it's expanding and increasing
its market profile. In keeping with the label's goal
to be a world leader in its music niche,
the company recently opened a new
specialty music division called
Gay Records that brings the best
in kitchy techno-lounge-discodance tunes.
It represents a more selective release
schedule and targeted A&R operations.
Gay released the 'poptacular-extravo-techno-ganza'
and the 'Bad Gurrlz' compilation.
Next up: an eclectro-trashy project
featuring MelleeFresh and Dirty 30.

A well-respected publishing company,
Play Records’ music roster also continues
to be a substantial source of soundtrack
material for numerous commercial
productions, including 10 licensing
deals with the hit Showtime series
Queer As Folk. The label has also
licensed and produced tracks for commercial
use to Seven-Up, Aveda Cosmetics,
Kraft and Kelloggs.

Play also provides music tracks to
many productions for Nelvana,
one of the largest animation companies
in the world. Queer As Folk, in particular,
has elevated special international interest
in the label's house and uptempo catalogue, w
hich can be heard on this website. A recent collaboration with SpydaBrownSound
will bring forth many new developments
in in-house studio production, headed
up by DJ SpydaBrown.
The future for Play Records sees
the label releasing a consistent flow
of 12"s and CD albums (including both
compilations and solo projects).
The wholly Canadian-owned label also
continues to tour international and Play
artists from Europe, the U.S. and across Canada. Make sure to get added onto the mailing list,
so we can keep you in touch with news
about new releases and events.

Zoo Brazil – by name John Andersson and Johan Emmoth from Sweden produced the first Harthouse Mannheim – release for the rebirth of the legendary Harthouse - imprint and last year released their LP "Zoo Brazil Needs You" which rapidly became a milestone in electronic music history. More than 100 single releases and 40 remixes, projects with Fatboy Slim, Human League, James Holden, Blaze and countless more international acts lead to a point where they nearly achieved everything. So they decided to raise the bar for their productions once more – from now on being two steps ahead and still standing in the middle of the circle. "Video Rockets" is what they call it and it's obviously one of the best productions ever made. In addition to the outstanding quality Zoo Brazil managed to create these powerful tracks for catching people on the dance floor as well as the listeners at home or on the way. You will discover eight different, outstanding animals with special abilities and needs when visiting the "Zoo Brazil" …or just watch the "Video Rockets".
