Style Of Eye - “Duck, Cover And Hold”
Dear partners and friends,
lock up your genres - Linus Eklow, aka Style Of Eye, is ripping up the rule book with his debut artist album “Duck, Cover And Hold”.Out in September 2008 on Pickadoll.
Linus’ most recent productions on Dirtybird and John Dahlbäck’s Pickadoll label have been immense - “The Big Kazoo” E.P (Dirtybird), was followed up by “The Prophet” (Pickadoll). With a remix for Moby under his belt and a tour in the pipeline, Style of Eye is proof that cutting edge house isn’t Sweden’s only hottest export...
As you’d expect from someone who cites influences as diverse as Stevie Wonder, nineteenth century classical composer Edvard Grieg, and Yello, Style of Eye isn’t keen to be pigeonholed. “Since I take in so much different music and put it in a blender I wanted to be able to put everything I see and that inspires me into one project.
This album is a huge step from my first release but you can still hear that it’s me. ‘Duck, Cover And Hold’ was almost a year in the making, and felt like the perfect time to put things in a bigger perspective. So I wanted to make a dancefloor album but one that could also be heard as one CD, that could travel through different styles, but you could still connect the dots between the first and last tracks,“ says Linus.
Style Of Eye - July 2008 Mix 1 Noze - You have to dance (SOE edit) 2 Style Of Eye - Clown 3 Martin Eyerer - Furthermore (Oliver Klein & Peter Juergens Mix) 4 Style Of Eye - Amelie 5 Vaeth vs Flugel - Trashbindance 6 Steve Mac, Marc Bell - Bells Of Brighton (Popof Mix) 7 Rhythm Code - Rise (Popof Mix) 8 Style Of Eye - Girls Dub 9 Style Of Eye – Psalm

an amazing tune for all djs out there. do not miss this release
The new King Kong Records release is about to arrive. It’s the third part of the Classics Edition series. 'Shake Your' out on Underwater Records from 2002 was a huge summer anthem back then. It was played by Djs like Josh Wink, Carl Cox, Laurent Ganier, Pete Tong, Darren Emerson...
The track has never been remixed yet – but now you’ll get a whole bunch: First up are Zoo Brazil who are really going huge at the moment. They did a great peak-time remix which will make your legs just go crazy.
The remix by Pacha resident Wally Lopez contains a cool impulsive beat. Third up is Sharams homie, Berlin-based DJ and producer Namito. He just released a much-considered track on Great Stuff. Furthermore Gold Ryan and Tapesh contribute an electro-house smasher which was already played sveral times exclusively by Pete Tong on his Radio 1 show.
Finally the Original 2002 Mix is included on top...
Tracklist: 1-Sharam Jey - Shake Your (Zoo Brazil Remix) (King Kong) 2-Sharam Jey - Shake Your (Wally Lopez Factomania Remix) 3-Sharam Jey - Shake Your (Namito Remix) 4-Sharam Jey - Shake Your (Gold Ryan and Tapesh Remix) 5-Sharam Jey - Shake Your (Original 2002 Remix)

Rhythm Punks & John Charles - Stasbourg
Devoré Recordings
Devore Recordings next instalment is from the exciting partnership of Norwich based producers Rhythm Punkz & John Charles.
Rhythm Punkz are hot duo Rob Currie and Paul Jones, formed in 1995 they have remixed for the likes of Missy Elliot, Innercity & Loose Cannons which alone is very impressive! And with a gig roster that has seen them play across Europe and Australia in the past they are internationally bound again this year for Poland and Asia.
So it’s now Rhythm Punkz turn to let you know what they are all about, musically! They’re partner in crime, John Charles, a 28 year old with a big love affair with house music has seen his raw talent rub shoulders with the best; Erick Morillo, Steve Angello & James Zabiela to name a few. Besides the djing flair, he is also busy working on his own fully produced tracks and remixes going under his own name and the Tokyo Warriors pseudonym.
Devore Recordings know new hot artists for the future when they see them and already are signing their next few releases as they form part of the new breed of gunning djs and producers from the East of England, including John Charles, Jack Harham & Daysleepers, all of whom are part of the Norwich house mafia.
Both sets of artists are holding down a well supported radio show on www.futureradio.co.uk so keep an eye out and listen! The Onezero (aka Rhythm Punkz) remix of ‘Strasbourg’ is a catchy electronic house, long pads drifting in and out and a bumpy bassline that makes this a perfect track to switch the atmosphere on the dance floor! The ‘Strasbourg (Dtech darkville mix)’ is dark and deep as they get! The rugged tech groove throughout the track was made for the late late sets, keep your eyes closed and imagine yourself on the dance floor alone, get mesmerised by it! All together this is destined for great things so show your support! Bigg up Norwich! more infos: http://www.myspace.com/devorerecordings http://www.devorelondon.com/
Copyright - Voices & Visions London based DJ/production duo Sam Holt and Gavin Mills aka Copyright is another victim of debuting album for this year. Their “Voices & Visions“, released on May 26th on respected Defected, is a collection of “soulful house, classic song writing with latin, afrobeat, disco, funk and tech influences and outstanding vocal performances“. Since Copyright’s first proper release on Soulfuric back in 2000 they’ve took a great journey delivering loads of great tunes, culminating on their mixage of 2007 “Miami In The House” compilation for Defected. 22 tracks of “Voices & Visions” include classic tracks and remixes from the times they were still pure soulful (like Kathy Brown’s “Never Again”) to more clubbish tunage (like “He Is” or “I Pray” or “Wizeman”).
