Style Of Eye - “Duck, Cover And Hold”
Dear partners and friends,
lock up your genres - Linus Eklow, aka Style Of Eye, is ripping up the rule book with his debut artist album “Duck, Cover And Hold”.Out in September 2008 on Pickadoll.
Linus’ most recent productions on Dirtybird and John Dahlbäck’s Pickadoll label have been immense - “The Big Kazoo” E.P (Dirtybird), was followed up by “The Prophet” (Pickadoll). With a remix for Moby under his belt and a tour in the pipeline, Style of Eye is proof that cutting edge house isn’t Sweden’s only hottest export...
As you’d expect from someone who cites influences as diverse as Stevie Wonder, nineteenth century classical composer Edvard Grieg, and Yello, Style of Eye isn’t keen to be pigeonholed. “Since I take in so much different music and put it in a blender I wanted to be able to put everything I see and that inspires me into one project.
This album is a huge step from my first release but you can still hear that it’s me. ‘Duck, Cover And Hold’ was almost a year in the making, and felt like the perfect time to put things in a bigger perspective. So I wanted to make a dancefloor album but one that could also be heard as one CD, that could travel through different styles, but you could still connect the dots between the first and last tracks,“ says Linus.

an amazing tune for all djs out there. do not miss this release
The new King Kong Records release is about to arrive. It’s the third part of the Classics Edition series. 'Shake Your' out on Underwater Records from 2002 was a huge summer anthem back then. It was played by Djs like Josh Wink, Carl Cox, Laurent Ganier, Pete Tong, Darren Emerson...
The track has never been remixed yet – but now you’ll get a whole bunch: First up are Zoo Brazil who are really going huge at the moment. They did a great peak-time remix which will make your legs just go crazy.
The remix by Pacha resident Wally Lopez contains a cool impulsive beat. Third up is Sharams homie, Berlin-based DJ and producer Namito. He just released a much-considered track on Great Stuff. Furthermore Gold Ryan and Tapesh contribute an electro-house smasher which was already played sveral times exclusively by Pete Tong on his Radio 1 show.
Finally the Original 2002 Mix is included on top...
Tracklist: 1-Sharam Jey - Shake Your (Zoo Brazil Remix) (King Kong) 2-Sharam Jey - Shake Your (Wally Lopez Factomania Remix) 3-Sharam Jey - Shake Your (Namito Remix) 4-Sharam Jey - Shake Your (Gold Ryan and Tapesh Remix) 5-Sharam Jey - Shake Your (Original 2002 Remix)
