KIKO NAVARRO

& DJ FUDGE

"IDEAL EP"

TRAXSOURCE EXCLUSIVE‏

This is the first time that Kiko Navarro & DJ Fudge worked together on a project. The Ideal EP offers three hot tracks: Maximal, which is inspired by the sounds of Kerri Chandler and Hardfloor is getting massive floor reactions already.

Fudge played it at the Back2Fundamentals party and the crowd went totally mad. Micra on the flipside mixes minimal sounds with a great deep house spirit to it, including groove, soul and with some "French Kiss" touch. Magnetic Rain is Kiko & Fudge's tribute to mother earth: if we don´t care about it, there will be more acid and magnetic rain, which will destroy our environment.

That's why the track has a dark mood with organic sounds of rain and other melodramatic elements...

SHIK STYLKO
"YUKON/ALASKA"
After the roaring success of Shik Stylko´s last outing on Peppermint Jam (That Night) we thought it was high time for another slice of ultra cool house from Munich´s Finest...So here it is, the 3rd Shik Stylko release on Peppermint Jam and it is truly awesome.
Alaska takes things firmly into main room territory with an amazing piece of synth laden House music with plenty of Balls in the beats department, while working the arrangement to ensure maximum dancefloor devastation! Yukon is slightly deeper, yet still retains the Stylko energy for serious clubplay.
Again the synths are the star of the show giving this a real atmospheric feel ideal for those big rooms! Deadmau5 & Funkagenda fans should definitely check this out!!!

Russel Pollitt ::: Right good old selection of remixes on here, a definite something for everyone. Samir is a good friend, and in my view one of the best producers to come to light over the past few years. His material always sounds so big & weighty. I´m going for his mixes on here.
Colin Sales for Defected.com ::: First released back in 1998 on Peppermint Jam, this has been brought up to date with a bang! First up is on remix duties is superstar Fedde Le Grand who's vocal mix really pushes the boundaries of the current sound, witha hit of soul in it you just can't help but get on down!
Check out his digital-only Dub mix for maximum dancefloor devastation!! Alex Gaudino and Jason Rooney are up next and provide a heavy, funk led stomper´ just listening to the riff alone will get you movin' and shakin' and then all of a sudden BAM you're in electronic heaven. Rising star Samir Maslo also twiddles the knobs on this with a killer deep house version, plus Rulers Of The Deep put out a heavy re-work of the original. And for the peaktime you can't miss out on the Nari & Milani mixes. Definitely something for everyone here, and a bloody fantastic start to 2009 for Peppermint Jam. Here's to more of the same!!
Dean Serafini for jjazproject.com ::: Ten years on from it´s first outing Peppermint Jam have commissioned a new package of mixes from some of the biggest players in the business in the hope of introducing this to a new generation of clubbers.
Onboard at at the controls this time around are Fedde Le Grande, Samir Maslo, Alex Gaudino & Jason Rooney, Nari & Milani and Rulers of The Deep. The mixers are all tougher than the 1999 versions but you would most likely have expected that. My own favorite comes from Gaudino & Rooney who deliver by far the funkiest mix underpinned by funky chic-esque guitars and rhythms before giving way to old school synths Chicago style.

CUNNIE WILLIAMS feat. MONIE LOVE

"SATURDAY 2009"

FEDDE LE GRAND MIXES‏

First released on Peppermint Jam back in 1998 and subsequently becoming one of our bestselling vinyl releases we decided we simply had to update this PJ classic.

This isn´t just any update, we had to ensure that justice would be done on each remix so we enlisted some of our favourite artists to re-work this PJ favourite...First up is ultra talented hit maker Fedde Le Grand who delivers a seriously classy Vocal mix with plenty of balls while keeping the soul of the original.

While his Dub Mix (digital only) is purely aimed at dancefloor devastation. Next up is hit machine Alex Gaudino along with partner Jason Rooney who deliver a killer house mix with great use of the original hook.

Our own rising star Samir Maslo turns in yet another amazing set of mixes and seems to be getting better and better with every day spent in the studio. Italian heavyweights Nari & Milani nail the main room sound with a peaktime monster of a mix.

Rounding off the package in style are PJ newboys Rulers of the Deep who turn this on its head and give it a serious underground re-working which sounds simply amazing on a big system...All in all the package is extra large and features a great mix for every dancefloor.

Paolo Barbato feat. Vincent Valler

"Nadabi"

Paolo Barbato, a native of Trieste in Italy recently reached the milestone of 25 years as a professional DJ. During this time he has developed his sound along with his productions to continually work the dancefloor...
For Nadabi he teams up with the ever talented Vincent Valler (who also featured on Samir Maslo's awesome debut single The Vibe last year on Peppermint Jam) to create an amazing piece of Underground Dance Music. The Vincent Valler Celebration Mix will certainly work magic on more discerning dancefloors who like their grooves along the lines of Kerri Chandler or Dennis Ferrer.
Next up is in form Alfred Azzetto who continues from his recent releases on Purple Music with a killer Old School flavored Dub mix which will no doubt rock on chunkier floors... Upping the tempo is the Luca Guerrieri Remix which toughens things up for peaktime plays while Federico Scavo takes things on a Tribal tip to devastating effect and Paolo Barbato's version will rock the tougher, Minimal vibed floors.
Also on the way is a red hot mix from recent Beatport Chart toppers, Martin+Nocera+Montanari Remix (BEATPORT EXCLUSIVE TRACK) who have delivered a killer of a mix for the big rooms.
All in a quality Underground production with a great package to satisfy any dancefloor!
LadyBug
Snapshot
The american singer songwriter LadyBug presents her debut single Snapshot, which is a catchy soul/r&b song. To show her versatility and bring her sound to a broader club audience, she teamed up with the dutch producer Robin M who is well known for his collaborations with house superstar Fedde Le Grand. This prolific combination of r&b vocals and groovy house rhythms will surely turn heads on the dancefloors.
Lucy & Rone - Great heron
Progcity Deep Trax
Lucy & Rone present "Great heron" and "Kamilla dee", two great deep house tracks on the techy side of things, both of them featuring warm melodic synths over deep hypnotic grooves which are guaranteed to cause a stir on the dance floor. Peter Grummich takes on "Great heron" and gives the track a deeper roughened edge for a more intense feel.

Boheme is the alter ego of London based songwriter and producer Carl Lavia.
To capture the soul that this track needed Carl teamed up with legendary Songstress Angie Brown. Famed for her work with Bizarre Inc and K-Klass her voice was the perfect match for this uplifting song.
The Original Version is a blissfully constructed piece of 'proper' soulful dance music. Plenty of live elements keep it authentic, while ensuring Angie has plenty of space to be centre stage. The mixes offer something different for everyone.
Newcomers Matt Williams & Steve Price deliver a fantastic uplifting House mix which keeps the class of the Original yet increases the tempo and energy enough for peaktime plays. Glovibes head straight to the Main Floor with an excellent full Vocal and Techy Dub for the Minimalist fans.
Karbon Jelly's Vocal and Dub Mixes will rock the bigger rooms with their slightly more commercial edge, while Lazersonic sets up his forthcoming release on Eye Industries with a cracking Switch-like remix and rounding off the package is the funky Soul Survivors mix which will have the spotters scratching their heads for sure...

Dan Curtin – Beat Fiend
Dan Curtin is back and banging drums! His A-side, “Beat Fiend,” is right on the nose! A sole drummer in a transcendental musical village warmly welcomes the listener followed by several hollow rolling drums as pied piper ravels and whirls through the village. Pressure and tension build up through various woodwinds and percussion as instrument-armed villagers pour out into empty alleys in synchronized dance motions spreading revolutionary joy throughout the ceremonial voyage. Listen closely, a single faded hip-hop lyricist leads the people to a full blown dance party. This track effectively plays the puppeteer to anyone listening; manipulating and leaving no limbs to rest.

COLIN DALE - JOY

remix by: Justin Steels Joyous Dub

To call Colin Dale "legendary" is no over-estimation.......here is a DJ that has been one of London's most cutting edge Djs for over 20 years and still continues to surprise and marvel.
Music was always a big part of the Dale family's life......Soul, Reggae, Jazz and Funk and even before Colin left school his friends included Fabio, Grooverider, Dave Angel, Jumping Jack Frost and Bryan Gee, all who went on to be top DJs in their respective scenes. Beginning his career warming up for the legendary Tim Westwood back in 1982, Colin went on to become one of the key players for pirate radio station Kiss 100 FM where he built his legendary show, the Abstract Dance.
Beamed to thousands of listeners each week, his mid week show featured many guests including Richie Hawtin, Dave Angel, Stacey Pullen, Laurent Garnier, Kevin Saunderson, Carl Craig, Derrick May, Carl Cox to name but a few. This has lead on to a fantastic DJ career and as well as being a regular guest at clubs such as Fabric, Rex, Pasha (Buenos Aires) and Love (Brazil), Colin has toured the Worlds clubs extensively, covering Japan, China, Russia, Australia and Eastern Europe. Looking back Colin has played some of the World’s best parties.....Dance Valley, Full Moon, Tribal Gathering, Sunrise, Energy, Love Parade, Automatik and Rage @ Heaven.
Production wise Colin has recorded for Perfecto on their very first LP, Obsessive, Logic, Sensei, Visitor, Abstrakt Dance, Swag, Laus and Alien Funk, as well as 7 well received mix compilation LPs for various major independent record labels.

The first Silinder tracks to be produced were “The Light Gets In”, “Junkfool” and “Shadowplay”,and it wasn’t long untill these were picked up by Irish label “Fudge Recordings” and were made available on the various digital download sites.
These debut tracks showcased Silinder’s dark side of progressive house and breakbeat. Moving forward to 2005, a young dj by the name of James Zabiela picked up the Silinder remixes of New Order’s “Blue Monday and his own track “Robophobia”, and decided that they were good enough to spin on his travels around the globe. The Silinder remix of “Robophobia” was also featured on the september issue of Dj Mag cover cd which was mixed by Meat Katie and James himself and released on Dj Download by Renaissance.
Now in 2007,Silinder has releases on numerous labels including Renaissance and Kriece’s own Kindred Label Group and Composure Records UK and in 2008 has signed music to Irish based label Amalgam Audio and Manchester's Segment Records and the Stripped stable.

8th December 2008 will see the release of ‘Williams’ Blood’, the first single to be taken from Grace Jones’ breathtaking new album, ‘Hurricane’, released on Wall Of Sound.
Enigmatic Grace, who this week released her first studio album in nearly twenty years, has been enjoying a stunning return. Hurricane, the new LP co-produced by Grace herself along with Ivor Guest, has seen Ms Jones collaborate with old friends Sly and Robbie as well as the likes of Brian Eno.
2008 has seen the recently crowned Q Awards Idol winner reenter the public consciousness with a sensational show at this year’s Meltdown Festival that was the live event of the year and startling recent appearances on “Tonight With Jonathan Ross” and ‘Later… with Jools Holland”. A dramatic, uplifting and positive track, ‘Williams’ Blood’ projects Grace’s versatility and relevance in today’s pop culture.
With guest vocals from Grace’s mother, Marjorie, the track is a personal insight into the World of Ms Jones. A video directed by the elusive (and highly selective) Chris Cunnigham is also in production, promising to add further kudos and attention to this already iconic campaign. Remixes of the track come courtesy of Mad Professor, Greg Wilson and Ivor Guest - with more to be announced in the very near future.
Also just announced are the UK Hurricane tour dates, which will sweep across the UK in January 2009.

GREAT SUMMERGAMES STUFF‏
24 anthems by 24 amazing artists from 24 different countries to support their national teams at the Olympic summer games in the Chinese capital Beijing. This is the concept behind the second Great Stuff compilation (after the very successfull Great Carnival Stuff earlier this year) full of wonderful exclusive tracks.
And of course the original Olympic idea (“not to win but to take part”) is inseparably linked to the respect of the human rights. Be it in the sports stadium or on the dancefloor. This ideal is emphasized by the Austrian duo Makossa & Megablast who decided to start for Tibet (instead of their home country) with a Mantra spoken by Konchok Yoenten: Düsum Sangye (The Prayer to Guru Rinpoche for Removing Obstacles and Fulwilling Wishes: Guru Rinpoche, the Buddha of past, present and future. "Dewa Chenpo" - Guru of Gre! at Bliss-the source of all the Siddhis. "Düd Dül Drakpo Tsal" - Wrathful One that subdues Negativity - who removes all obstacles. Grant your blessings we pray! Through them, may all obstacles-outer, inner and secret- be quelled, and may all our aspirations be fulfilled.

Style Of Eye - “Duck, Cover And Hold”

Dear partners and friends,

lock up your genres - Linus Eklow, aka Style Of Eye, is ripping up the rule book with his debut artist album “Duck, Cover And Hold”.Out in September 2008 on Pickadoll.

Linus’ most recent productions on Dirtybird and John Dahlbäck’s Pickadoll label have been immense - “The Big Kazoo” E.P (Dirtybird), was followed up by “The Prophet” (Pickadoll). With a remix for Moby under his belt and a tour in the pipeline, Style of Eye is proof that cutting edge house isn’t Sweden’s only hottest export...

As you’d expect from someone who cites influences as diverse as Stevie Wonder, nineteenth century classical composer Edvard Grieg, and Yello, Style of Eye isn’t keen to be pigeonholed. “Since I take in so much different music and put it in a blender I wanted to be able to put everything I see and that inspires me into one project.

This album is a huge step from my first release but you can still hear that it’s me. ‘Duck, Cover And Hold’ was almost a year in the making, and felt like the perfect time to put things in a bigger perspective. So I wanted to make a dancefloor album but one that could also be heard as one CD, that could travel through different styles, but you could still connect the dots between the first and last tracks,“ says Linus.

Style Of Eye - July 2008 Mix
1 Noze - You have to dance (SOE edit)
2 Style Of Eye - Clown
3 Martin Eyerer - Furthermore (Oliver Klein & Peter Juergens Mix)
4 Style Of Eye - Amelie
5 Vaeth vs Flugel - Trashbindance
6 Steve Mac, Marc Bell - Bells Of Brighton (Popof Mix)
7 Rhythm Code - Rise (Popof Mix)
8 Style Of Eye - Girls Dub
9 Style Of Eye – Psalm
MARTIN EYERER & OLIVER KLEIN
"KÖRNERFRESSER"
JUAN TRIP' "FIREPLACE"
“Consolation”, his last album, was an opera rock LP which charmed the world of directors (Broken English directed by Zoé Cassavetes and J'ai toujours rêvé d'être un Gangster by Samuel Benchetrit) as well as mainstream rock magazines (Rolling Stones).
Juan Trip’ has been manufactured by the past and “Fireplace”, his new album, is deeply influenced by psychedelic years. Although the production of its 20 tracks is perfectly arranged, well-thought and definitely turned to the future.
2008, Juan Trip’ is back with his new LP crossing Velvet Underground, Jefferson Airplane and 13th Floor Elevators. To sum up, here is one of the “must have” rock albums of the year which includes tracks with no limit between rock and 3rd millenium trip. Juan Trip’ is always on the run !

Jake Knights - Drench

(Influential House)

Released back in 2007 and receiving a great response from some of the industries big players, Laurent Garnier, Danny Rampling, Phil Tompson, Kriss Darrang to name a few, Jake Knights provides us with a 2008 re-edit along with an Onionz exclusive remix who we drafted in for the re-release.

Jake steps up with an epic re-rerub, which chugs along nicely and ticks all the right boxes, whereas the infamous Onionz, the legendary NYC producer, rips the track apart, injects it full of acid drenched influences and totally gives it his own interpretation.

This is sure to do well and is already receiving support and airplays across the world.....you heard it here first!!! Offical release date, via Music Response: 8th September (Physical) , 22nd (Digital)

going to be released on -> Influential House
Son Of Decepticon
The City Burns
Camden rocker, techno junkie and keyboard player in the band “The Jonas”, Chris Shield gears himself for a foray away from the usual dingy UK live venues with his first electronica single “The City Burns”.
The original mix plays off his Depeche Mode style vocal hook which simmers on top of the heavy, jilted, layered base line and which builds it’s way upwards through the bleepery towards its dramatic climax.
Ludo provides the B side mix with an energetic house house mix caked with attitude and screaming synth lines.
going to be released on -> Bleach Records

GO THAT DEEP - NUfrequency ft. Shara Nelson.
NUfrequency are back with another taster from their first album, to be released early next year. And this is something really special ! It features the beautiful vocals of the legend Shara Nelson, who achieved the success as member of British dance collective and trip-hop pioneers Massive Attack. Shara wrote and sung one of the biggest and most memorable anthems, and the group's biggest hit, "Unfinished Sympathy," and also co-wrote several other songs on their groundbreaking debut album, Blue Lines.
The Original mix of Go That Deep is a beautiful and sublime piece of music, an heart-breaking song with emotional lirycs and an extraordinary interpretation from Shara, a soul singer with a voice from heaven; dark and touching. Charles Webster goes deep and moody wilth an high quality mix, already loved and supported in every gig by Ben Watt, Âme, Dixon and Diesel on mp3 passed by Charles !!! Redanka couldn't do a better work, with two fantastic mixes, bringing back the old school progressive house vibe!

Sharam Jey - Shake Your 2008
(Zoo Brazil/Wally Lopez/Namito/Gold Ryan and Tapesh Remixes)

The new King Kong Records release is about to arrive. It’s the third part of the Classics Edition series. 'Shake Your' out on Underwater Records from 2002 was a huge summer anthem back then. It was played by Djs like Josh Wink, Carl Cox, Laurent Ganier, Pete Tong, Darren Emerson...

The track has never been remixed yet – but now you’ll get a whole bunch: First up are Zoo Brazil who are really going huge at the moment. They did a great peak-time remix which will make your legs just go crazy.

The remix by Pacha resident Wally Lopez contains a cool impulsive beat. Third up is Sharams homie, Berlin-based DJ and producer Namito. He just released a much-considered track on Great Stuff. Furthermore Gold Ryan and Tapesh contribute an electro-house smasher which was already played sveral times exclusively by Pete Tong on his Radio 1 show.

Finally the Original 2002 Mix is included on top...

Tracklist:
1-Sharam Jey - Shake Your (Zoo Brazil Remix) (King Kong)
2-Sharam Jey - Shake Your (Wally Lopez Factomania Remix)
3-Sharam Jey - Shake Your (Namito Remix)
4-Sharam Jey - Shake Your (Gold Ryan and Tapesh Remix)
5-Sharam Jey - Shake Your (Original 2002 Remix)
