SILINDER - RUBBERHUMP

Stripped Recordings

We welcome Irish producer SILINDER to the fold for release number 16 on Stripped Recordings. His track Rubberhup has al;ready recieved mant plays chart action and rave reviews from SASHA (who features the track on his special Thank You Mix 2008 live from Amnesia,Ibiza on his website www.djsasha.com),HERNAN CATTANEO & JAMES ZABIELA to name three.
Now the track will be available for the first time just before Xmas with a remix ep to follow in early 2009. SILINDER http://www.myspace.com/silinder Silinder is the brainchild of Gav Mulhall. Born back in 2002 from a love of dark and electronic sounds.
You won’t have to listen too hard to hear Silinder’s diverse range of musical influences in his music, which ranges from, Nine Inch Nails, The Cure and Depeche Mode, to, Infusion, Evil Nine and King Unique. The first Silinder tracks to be produced were “The Light Gets In”, “Junkfool” and “Shadowplay”,and it wasn’t long untill these were picked up by Irish label “Fudge Recordings” and were made available on the various digital download sites.
These debut tracks showcased Silinder’s dark side of progressive house and breakbeat. Moving forward to 2005, a young dj by the name of James Zabiela picked up the Silinder remixes of New Order’s “Blue Monday and his own track “Robophobia”, and decided that they were good enough to spin on his travels around the globe. The Silinder remix of “Robophobia” was also featured on the september issue of Dj Mag cover cd which was mixed by Meat Katie and James himself and released on Dj Download by Renaissance.
Now in 2007,Silinder has releases on numerous labels including Renaissance and Kriece’s own Kindred Label Group and Composure Records UK and in 2008 has signed music to Irish based label Amalgam Audio and Manchester's Segment Records and the Stripped stable.
He is now busy in the studio a couple of new tracks and remixes for us and we are pleased to have this accomplished producer in the fold.

8th December 2008 will see the release of ‘Williams’ Blood’, the first single to be taken from Grace Jones’ breathtaking new album, ‘Hurricane’, released on Wall Of Sound.
Enigmatic Grace, who this week released her first studio album in nearly twenty years, has been enjoying a stunning return. Hurricane, the new LP co-produced by Grace herself along with Ivor Guest, has seen Ms Jones collaborate with old friends Sly and Robbie as well as the likes of Brian Eno.
2008 has seen the recently crowned Q Awards Idol winner reenter the public consciousness with a sensational show at this year’s Meltdown Festival that was the live event of the year and startling recent appearances on “Tonight With Jonathan Ross” and ‘Later… with Jools Holland”. A dramatic, uplifting and positive track, ‘Williams’ Blood’ projects Grace’s versatility and relevance in today’s pop culture.
With guest vocals from Grace’s mother, Marjorie, the track is a personal insight into the World of Ms Jones. A video directed by the elusive (and highly selective) Chris Cunnigham is also in production, promising to add further kudos and attention to this already iconic campaign. Remixes of the track come courtesy of Mad Professor, Greg Wilson and Ivor Guest - with more to be announced in the very near future.
Also just announced are the UK Hurricane tour dates, which will sweep across the UK in January 2009.

GREAT SUMMERGAMES STUFF‏
24 anthems by 24 amazing artists from 24 different countries to support their national teams at the Olympic summer games in the Chinese capital Beijing. This is the concept behind the second Great Stuff compilation (after the very successfull Great Carnival Stuff earlier this year) full of wonderful exclusive tracks.
And of course the original Olympic idea (“not to win but to take part”) is inseparably linked to the respect of the human rights. Be it in the sports stadium or on the dancefloor. This ideal is emphasized by the Austrian duo Makossa & Megablast who decided to start for Tibet (instead of their home country) with a Mantra spoken by Konchok Yoenten: Düsum Sangye (The Prayer to Guru Rinpoche for Removing Obstacles and Fulwilling Wishes: Guru Rinpoche, the Buddha of past, present and future. "Dewa Chenpo" - Guru of Gre! at Bliss-the source of all the Siddhis. "Düd Dül Drakpo Tsal" - Wrathful One that subdues Negativity - who removes all obstacles. Grant your blessings we pray! Through them, may all obstacles-outer, inner and secret- be quelled, and may all our aspirations be fulfilled.

Samir Maslo feat. Vincent Valler - "The Vibe"
Perfectly timed for the summer season our supremo Samir Maslo delivers a real killer entitled The Vibe on Peppermint Jam Records. Mr. Maslo has gained critical acclaim for his hi-class remixes on Purple Music, Peppermint Jam and ProgCity Deep over the past few months.
Take Vincent Valler and no less than Alfred Azzetto (who was responsible for "Colors" on Purple Music), mix them up with a great marimba melody and drifting beats and you‘ll get this sure fire dancefloor burner. On top of that Alfred Azzetto's remix takes this into bigger room territory while keeping the ‘Vibe‘ of the original!

Style Of Eye - “Duck, Cover And Hold”

Dear partners and friends,

lock up your genres - Linus Eklow, aka Style Of Eye, is ripping up the rule book with his debut artist album “Duck, Cover And Hold”.Out in September 2008 on Pickadoll.

Linus’ most recent productions on Dirtybird and John Dahlbäck’s Pickadoll label have been immense - “The Big Kazoo” E.P (Dirtybird), was followed up by “The Prophet” (Pickadoll). With a remix for Moby under his belt and a tour in the pipeline, Style of Eye is proof that cutting edge house isn’t Sweden’s only hottest export...

As you’d expect from someone who cites influences as diverse as Stevie Wonder, nineteenth century classical composer Edvard Grieg, and Yello, Style of Eye isn’t keen to be pigeonholed. “Since I take in so much different music and put it in a blender I wanted to be able to put everything I see and that inspires me into one project.

This album is a huge step from my first release but you can still hear that it’s me. ‘Duck, Cover And Hold’ was almost a year in the making, and felt like the perfect time to put things in a bigger perspective. So I wanted to make a dancefloor album but one that could also be heard as one CD, that could travel through different styles, but you could still connect the dots between the first and last tracks,“ says Linus.

Style Of Eye - July 2008 Mix
1 Noze - You have to dance (SOE edit)
2 Style Of Eye - Clown
3 Martin Eyerer - Furthermore (Oliver Klein & Peter Juergens Mix)
4 Style Of Eye - Amelie
5 Vaeth vs Flugel - Trashbindance
6 Steve Mac, Marc Bell - Bells Of Brighton (Popof Mix)
7 Rhythm Code - Rise (Popof Mix)
8 Style Of Eye - Girls Dub
9 Style Of Eye – Psalm
MARTIN EYERER & OLIVER KLEIN
"KÖRNERFRESSER"
JUAN TRIP' "FIREPLACE"
“Consolation”, his last album, was an opera rock LP which charmed the world of directors (Broken English directed by Zoé Cassavetes and J'ai toujours rêvé d'être un Gangster by Samuel Benchetrit) as well as mainstream rock magazines (Rolling Stones).
Juan Trip’ has been manufactured by the past and “Fireplace”, his new album, is deeply influenced by psychedelic years. Although the production of its 20 tracks is perfectly arranged, well-thought and definitely turned to the future.
2008, Juan Trip’ is back with his new LP crossing Velvet Underground, Jefferson Airplane and 13th Floor Elevators. To sum up, here is one of the “must have” rock albums of the year which includes tracks with no limit between rock and 3rd millenium trip. Juan Trip’ is always on the run !

Jake Knights - Drench

(Influential House)

Released back in 2007 and receiving a great response from some of the industries big players, Laurent Garnier, Danny Rampling, Phil Tompson, Kriss Darrang to name a few, Jake Knights provides us with a 2008 re-edit along with an Onionz exclusive remix who we drafted in for the re-release.

Jake steps up with an epic re-rerub, which chugs along nicely and ticks all the right boxes, whereas the infamous Onionz, the legendary NYC producer, rips the track apart, injects it full of acid drenched influences and totally gives it his own interpretation.

This is sure to do well and is already receiving support and airplays across the world.....you heard it here first!!! Offical release date, via Music Response: 8th September (Physical) , 22nd (Digital)

going to be released on -> Influential House
Son Of Decepticon
The City Burns
Camden rocker, techno junkie and keyboard player in the band “The Jonas”, Chris Shield gears himself for a foray away from the usual dingy UK live venues with his first electronica single “The City Burns”.
The original mix plays off his Depeche Mode style vocal hook which simmers on top of the heavy, jilted, layered base line and which builds it’s way upwards through the bleepery towards its dramatic climax.
Ludo provides the B side mix with an energetic house house mix caked with attitude and screaming synth lines.
going to be released on -> Bleach Records

Sharam Jey - Shake Your 2008
(Zoo Brazil/Wally Lopez/Namito/Gold Ryan and Tapesh Remixes)

The new King Kong Records release is about to arrive. It’s the third part of the Classics Edition series. 'Shake Your' out on Underwater Records from 2002 was a huge summer anthem back then. It was played by Djs like Josh Wink, Carl Cox, Laurent Ganier, Pete Tong, Darren Emerson...

The track has never been remixed yet – but now you’ll get a whole bunch: First up are Zoo Brazil who are really going huge at the moment. They did a great peak-time remix which will make your legs just go crazy.

The remix by Pacha resident Wally Lopez contains a cool impulsive beat. Third up is Sharams homie, Berlin-based DJ and producer Namito. He just released a much-considered track on Great Stuff. Furthermore Gold Ryan and Tapesh contribute an electro-house smasher which was already played sveral times exclusively by Pete Tong on his Radio 1 show.

Finally the Original 2002 Mix is included on top...

Tracklist:
1-Sharam Jey - Shake Your (Zoo Brazil Remix) (King Kong)

Physics - Hold On
Good news coming from:
Regrouped and now stronger than ever before, Seamless Recordings is back.
With a focus on quality vocal house, Seamless will be releasing singles, not just digital downloads but with also selected cuts on vinyl. Seamless will also be continuing with what it does best; compilations. The label will continue with popular compilations series such as Purobeach along with new series later this year to replace bargrooves which was licensed to Defected earlier this year.
First up is ‘Hold On’ by Swedish act Physics, which is taken from their forthcoming artist album, ‘Influences’ which will be released on Seamless in September. ‘Hold On’ is classic Physics featuring the vocal talents of Bianca Hutchinson. With her smoking vocals underpinned with smooth percussion and Latin guitar licks, this has summer written all over it.On the remix front we have three ‘master blenders’ onboard.
The first remix is by Word Of Mouth, aka Graham Lord, one half of top house act Audiowhores. Graham has turned in an absolute monster which is likely to smash up many a dance floor over the summer, creating a track full of emotion that gets those hands in the air.
Second we have Scope. His arrival on the global house scene has been nothing short of meteoric with his debut release last year “Strung Out” EP on Urbantorque. He has been prolific over the last few months with releases on Plastic City, Urbantorque, NRK and Chicago based label Large. Scope, aka Ric McClelland has worked his magic on the vocal to superb effect and created one of the coolest tracks you’ll hear all summer.
This track is sophisticated deep house at its finest. Last but not least we have Glide and Swerve, formed 3 years ago by Ivan Clarke and Simon Glantz, who are better known for producing legendary club nights in Hong Kong. Glide and Swerve have turned in a stunning chill mix perfect for Ibiza’s legendary sunsets.

Papa Records warm things up for summer by welcoming a brand new artist to the label ‘Dalminjo’, with his exciting debut release ‘I’ll Wait’ featuring the deep seductive vocals of Lenny Hamilton. The Dalminjo Remode mix take things up a level further with added build ups and stretches to increase the intensity of the song.
Finally, to complete the package Tea Party Music main man Ian Friday takes the track in a totally different direction in only the way he knows best using his trademark beats and moog sounds to create some very deep spiritual mixes for the head nodders!

NICK HOOK - 'BROTHERS & SISTERS'
TRACK:
BROTHERS & SISTERS (Original mix)
BROTHERS & SISTERS (Martin Sharp Unified Remix)
release date: 23-06-2008
NICK HOOK - 'BROTHERS & SISTERS' 1/ Nick's Come Together Mix 2/ Martin Sharp Family Remix 3/ Martin Sharp Unified Remix 4/ Anton Neumark Remix 5/ Alex Camel Remix 6/ Original Mix
This is Nick's 12th solo single and definitely one of his best.
Nick's last solo single on Jeepers! – 'The Funky Muzik' – topped the MOS Download electro chart and reached no.2 in the DJ Download chart. So we are expecting big things from this release, especially as it includes a top quality package of remixes.
Nick Hook supplies two mixes: the storming, funked-up, electro house Come Together Mix plus the deeper, more progressive Original Mix.
Nick's First Life production partner Martin Sharp turns in two superb and very different remixes: Martin Sharp's Family Remix is rocking, dubby, electro house, while Martin Sharp's Unified Remix is a beautifully produced, full-on, uplifting, progressive, hands-in-the-air mix.
Top Russian DJ / producer Anton Neumark supplies a big-room, awesome, underground monster of a mix in his own inimitable style, while fellow Russian producer Alex Camel goes for a more deep and housey mix that has class written all over it.
Nick Hook has been a house music DJ and producer since 1990 and has released more than 80 productions (including remixes) on labels including FFRR, Distinctive, Whoop!, React, Limbo, Baroque, Phonetic, DMC, Stress, Om, In Music, Wallop, Segment, Multiply... and many more.
Nick co-founded one of the early trailblazing UK progressive house music labels, the highly influential Om Records, in 1992. He was also co-promoter/resident DJ at two of London's most legendary progressive house clubs, Loosen Up and Whoop It Up!, in the 1990's, not to mention having DJ'd at many of the top clubs in the UK and all over Europe.
As well as Nick's many solo releases he has also recorded collaborations under various act names including First Life, Subterfuge, Casey Jones Effect, Pleasure Box and Soundsource. His remix credits include Alex Neri, The Grid, Gusto, Saint Ettienne and Adamski.
Nick is currently a resident DJ at the Ocean Rooms and Suga Qube clubs in Brighton, and he continues to play at clubs around the UK and Europe.

Rhythm Punks & John Charles - Stasbourg

Devoré Recordings

Devore Recordings next instalment is from the exciting partnership of Norwich based producers Rhythm Punkz & John Charles.

Rhythm Punkz are hot duo Rob Currie and Paul Jones, formed in 1995 they have remixed for the likes of Missy Elliot, Innercity & Loose Cannons which alone is very impressive! And with a gig roster that has seen them play across Europe and Australia in the past they are internationally bound again this year for Poland and Asia.
So it’s now Rhythm Punkz turn to let you know what they are all about, musically! They’re partner in crime, John Charles, a 28 year old with a big love affair with house music has seen his raw talent rub shoulders with the best; Erick Morillo, Steve Angello & James Zabiela to name a few. Besides the djing flair, he is also busy working on his own fully produced tracks and remixes going under his own name and the Tokyo Warriors pseudonym.
Devore Recordings know new hot artists for the future when they see them and already are signing their next few releases as they form part of the new breed of gunning djs and producers from the East of England, including John Charles, Jack Harham & Daysleepers, all of whom are part of the Norwich house mafia.
Both sets of artists are holding down a well supported radio show on www.futureradio.co.uk so keep an eye out and listen! The Onezero (aka Rhythm Punkz) remix of ‘Strasbourg’ is a catchy electronic house, long pads drifting in and out and a bumpy bassline that makes this a perfect track to switch the atmosphere on the dance floor! The ‘Strasbourg (Dtech darkville mix)’ is dark and deep as they get! The rugged tech groove throughout the track was made for the late late sets, keep your eyes closed and imagine yourself on the dance floor alone, get mesmerised by it! All together this is destined for great things so show your support! Bigg up Norwich!
