Cr2 Underground Vol. 2

1. SP 'Never Stop The Action'

2. Paolo Mojo 'Alininha' (Edu Imbernon Remix)

3. UGLH & Federico Locchi 'People Underground'

4. Mendo 'Morena'

5. Tapesh '5 Days'

Kicking things off is a track, that in its earlier versions, and from a handful of white-labels has over this summer found a strong level of support from the likes of Ben Watt and Radio Slave. The mysterious SP's 'Never Stop' is a party track extraordinaire. Most definitely one for those that like their music touched by the glitterball, its funky bassline, and cheeky vocal sample are a real joy, as is the main break. Essential material.

Next up is Cadenza artist Mendo with 'Morena'. Known for his work on Luciano's imprint as well as a host of productions and remixes for labels including Bouq, Clarisse, Waldliebe Muzik and Sondos. A lovely deep house cut, built around a strong groove and vocal stabs. 'Morena' is a solid cut that is set to keep many a set driving.

Edu Imbernon steps up the plate for track three, and brings us his take on Paolo Mojo's Cr2 release 'Alininha'. The the original was a summer fueled, samba-tastic crowd pleaser, and Edu has taken the essence of Latin America, and injected it into the funk that runs throughout his remix. Great vocal work, deep synth stabs in the final third make this is a sure fire winner.

With the fashion for filtered house in full swing, two of Cr2's regular artists drop their latest golden nuggets of sparkling house. First up UGLH & Federico Locchi give us 'People Underground' with is driving groove, filtered keys and oldskool vocal sample.

Rounding out the package is Tapesh with '5 Days'. A funky roller that makes full use of a much tried and tested vocal. A great set builder, with some great warm, full synth stabs, that is set to be a favorite with the ladies in the house, and after all, thats why we do this isn't it...

‘Traffic Light EP’

1. Stop - Original Mix

2. Get Ready - Original Mix

3. Go – Original Mix

SBLSIN021

Released: 21/12/09

Digital Distribution: The Orchard

Seamless Black Label is back with the first EP from Pacha Ibiza and Seamless Recordings A&R Head honcho Graham Sahara. Graham Sahara has been a resident in the Ibizan superclub for over 7 years, playing alongside people such as David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, Kenny Dope and Chus & Ceballos to name but a few. He has also been head of A&R of Seamless Recordings for a couple of years, developing the trademark sound of the Seamless label. He has been nominated for various awards such as Best Ibiza DJ in 2006 in the DJ Awards in Ibiza, as well as nominations for Best DJ 2008 and Best DJ of a Bar/Lounge 2008 by the Spanish Deejay Magazine. He has remixed the likes of Kiko Navarro, Scope, Souldynamic, Matt Caseli & Aston Martinez for labels such as Realbasic, Soundman On Wax, Pacha Recordings and Seamless Black and with this EP he has conjured up the sound of his more driving main room sets that he is becoming more known for.

The Traffic Light EP is made up of three top draw tracks.

“Stop” This is a bouncing track that is a perfect peak time house track. With an uplifiting feel to it, this is one for a slightly more funky floor and has been tried and tested all summer long in Pacha Ibiza.

“Get Ready” This is a sub bass powered deep percussive track with a more underground late night raw feel to it.

“Go” This is another deep late night track with a very uplifting break down that lifts the crowd until its drops with a bang back in to the rolling deep groove.

JSBL - "TWICE UPON TWO TIMES (CD)" - PROMO

ARTIST: JSBL

TITLE: TWICE UPON TWO TIMES

RELEASE DATE: IN STORES

FORMAT: CD

CAT.NO: AFF 002

LABEL: AFFINE RECORDS

Tracklist:

1 - The Flu

2 - Der Mann mit den Schwankungen

3 - Jimbo

4 - Rekindle Of The Libido

5 - Fooled By Needs

6 - Parental Square '79

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Twice upon two times, there were ... okay, okay no fairy tales now. This is JSBL and this is an introduction of their Debut EP "twice upon two times". The abbreviation JSBL is neither a four-letter-word that can be looked up in dictionaries, nor the pin code to a secret bank account on the Cayman Islands. Jacob's Salty & Bamboozling Ladder is a musical experience of the next dimension.

Jacob's ladder represents a path to heaven that takes it down a road to never- ending musical evolution. Disregarding the religious connotation, it's the symbolic character of this funky ladder that counts. Speaking of Funk, this ladder is a bit salty too. Because the way up is obviously hard, it gets you well sweaty. Bamboozling, on the other hand, is characteristic of the band's ability to surprise and reinvent. Regardless whether the outcome is spontaneous or composed.

Opener "The Flu" is great listening material with the potential to make you dance your shoes off. The best pair even! On the other hand "Der Mann mit den Schwankungen" ("The Man with the Fluctuations"), is a track that slowly but surely evolves into a monumental Jazz-rock hybrid.

Next is "Jimbo", a razor-sharp, uptempo, instrumental broken power load with a mind-blowing key solo. This guy must feel like he's on an infinite roller coaster ride on the JSBL claviature.

"Rekindle of the Libido" is a story, listen to it and you will partake in a musical journey that starts off with a Contemporary Flow Bop and ends in a dramatic Cyberfunk Orgy. Thematically not far away is "Fooled by Needs". A gigantic bassline interacts with synth, drums and guitar to produce acoustic pleasure of the third kind. Full spectrum annihilation!

Weird psychedelic 70s atmosphere is what best describes "Parental Square '79". This bizarre sneaker brings "Twice Upon Two Times" to a gentle close. Gentle and a little bamboozled.

ABOUT JSBL

The abbreviation JSBL is neither a four-letter-word that can be looked up in dictionaries, nor the pin code to a secret bank account on the Cayman Islands. Jacob's Salty & Bamboozling Ladder is a musical experience of the next dimension.

The Jacob's ladder represents the way to heaven, that is a never-ending musical development. Sparing the religious connotation, it's simply the symbolic character of this funky ladder that counts. Speaking of Funk, this ladder is a bit salty too- obviously the way up is hard and gets you well sweaty. Bamboozling, on the other hand, is characteristic of the band's ability to surprise and reinvent. Regardless of the outcome being spontaneos or composed.

Jacob's Salty & Bamboozling Ladder are specialists for a certain serious unseriosity, sticking Donald Trump, Michael Jackson and Brigitte Bardot in a room, letting them get drunk together. What counts is that JSBL's juicy orange beats, minty green low ends and yummy purple middles provoke a certain spiciness that rushes through the body. This musical output culminates in their refreshingly unpretentious live performances- and the first release "twice upon two times" at JSBL's home label Affine Records.

Jacob's Salty & Bamboozling Ladder are:

Clemens Bacher aka Cid Rim (drums)

Oliver Johnson aka Dorian Concept (keys and synths)

Paul Movahedi aka The Clonious (guitar and samples)

Willi Rosner (fretless bass, low end manipulation)

Ocelli - Fuga EP [BLAQ028]

Review:

ocelli is 50% of penny pistos, blaq records recording artists. we know sharon and chato (ocelli) for a long time and we have always been real big fans of their sound, definitely 2 of our favourite producers in mexico also our super dear friends!

for these ep ocelli really shows a mature and profund display of sound, using a lot of organic sounds mixed with synthetic orchestration he acomplishes to make this a hi-tech digital extravaganza, we have been playing all 4 songs on this ep and we are really in love with ocelli's work and we feel this is one release that really shows the kind of style we like when it comes to deeper twisted dark beats. 4 tracks of deep and intricate design.

"la creacion" is the first cut here, a creation of minimalistic structures and obscure traces, built around a simple bouncing groove this is a prefect rythmic tool to keep things flowing evenly, creatures screeching in the back, many tones of gray paint this dark picture, the melody is sublime and sudden, sweet synthetics, delicious plasticity.

"fuga de cerebros" goes straight to the point, futuristic dance music forward thinking groovenology intricate melodies and rythmic structures fuse in one delicious dub tech ride, with a twisted touch of nylon strings lurking along.

the 3rd track here "los mandamientos" new models of synthesis are printed in this gluey toxic beat, distilled with silicon and assambled in ocelli's dark laboratory this is for those who like to take things some notches more into introspective dance land

to close this dope ep ocelli brings us "la casa de los gritos" a future funk interstelar ride into new dimensions a blend of old school sensibilities with a total new school style. the elements here are synthetic as well.

Nadia Ali Single "FINE PRINT"‏
Laurent Garnier - Pay TV‏
After a break of almost 2 years, Vitalic is back with some fresh music!
Disco Terminateur is the eagerly awaited new EP of the summer. the A side is dedicated to Terminateur Benelux a combination of sweat and amyl nitrate.
It's imposing and voracious, in an early-90s Belgian rave style. John Lord from the Citizen crew puts his hand on it for a remix of modern and melodic approach.
Your Disco Song on the B side is frisky synth-pop track with a hefty kick, penned for one of Vitalic’s party pals, who, after a heavy weekend, often gets the blues at the start of the week.
