El Farouki - Take My Hand
El Farouki started producing electronic dance music after seven years of violin and classical music. Mybe this is the reason why he is expressing more than you expect when hearing the first sounds. The native-born Moroccan knows very well handling rhythms and grooves and sends us on a trip through a world full of dance and pleasant moments. Sometimes very minimal and warm, sometimes rhythmically angry and chasing, his works show the different facings of his skills. His music releases suit very well for the floor but also for the couch at home, never-ending energy. It is perfect to stay awake, to forget everything for some minutes and leave it. After his debut release "Mouth Of groove" on Plastic City in spring 2007 and his exclusive contributions to the current label compilations, El Farouki now release his second EP called "Take My Hand" on Plastic City. This release is again perfect to stay awake, to forget everything for some minutes and leave it. While dancing please close your eyes, the effect is long-lasting...
Deep Train 5 - Sensual Dawn --- mixed by The Timewriter
Subtitled Sensual Dawn, Jean F. Cochois aka The Timewriter presents the fifth edition of his mix-series Deep Train. Emotional, sensual and with his well-known and distinctive style, he yet again succeeds in creating a special atmosphere through selecting some exquisite track titles – all typical for his ongoing theme. With this mix, The Timewriter steers the train away from commonly known tracks; instead purposefully focussing on pure musicality by including artists such as Robert Graf, Round Two, Pete Gust or Diogenes Club. With top tunes from Sian (also featured on play-lists from Carl Craig, Loco Dice, Ame, Ben Watt, Marc Romboy, Steve Lawler, Laurent Garnier and many others) and Nikola Gala, a currently much in-demand artist from Greece, The Timewriter builds a bridge to the inhabitants of Plastic City by combining the sound typical to the label together with his outstanding taste in music and sensitive feel. Also featured is Rob Pearson, who just had his debut on Plastic City and currently working on his new album. This truly is a bundle of magnificent listening goodies at gourmet-level. One can hear the voice of Robert Owens whispering "Take a ride inside of deep" in Rob Pearson and C-Soul's "Escape From The Madness" - directed straight at the listeners. Enjoy over one hour of the absolute finest Deep- and Tech House. Get your tickets and never disembark the train!
Da Funk - The Throwdown

Switzerland in 1991. The electronic music began to crowd its fans. In front a teenager called Da Funk. Electronic Music had done it to the young man and he began to deal with the whole scene. First party attendances were the result and Da Funk was definitely fallen in love with the music. In the middle of the 90'ies, which Da Funk naturally through-live with excessive celebrations on innumerable Parties and Club nights, the normal celebrating as a music consumer did not gave him the sufficient kick anymore. Thus the music-possessed young man began to acquire himself how to Mix. Soon the first gigs came at smaller, usually illegal parties around Winterthur. In winter 1996 the first large gig in Zurich followed and Da Funk were rocking the floor. Further bookings troughout Switzerland followed. The attendance of a Spanish party island '97 rang the end of his DJ activity. The sufficient satisfaction by playing records only and in holidays with a new music direction infected, the DJ project was hung to the nail. House Music was the new born child of Da Funk. A time of re-direction followed and Da Funk returned into the role of the consumer for a short moment. Dormant sitting around and nothing doing aren't characteristics Da Funk call his own and so he courageously move on to a further step. Producing own sounds and tracks should be it. He began to build up his own Studio and working with large eagerness at his musical ideas.
Lukas Greenberg - Rhode´Stories

Nikolas Jakoby a.k.a. Lukas Greenberg definitely is no newcomer in the electronic music scene. He started his career in the early 90ies as a hip hop dj and played at famous venues like the tresor, 90Grad and KitCat. Quite a lot residencies and years of dance floor experience brought him to own productions which he started on an Atari Mega 2. He founded his label "Synphon Records" and received remix requests from Peter Schilling amongst others. It's easy to see that after more than ten years in the business his musical background is based on a broad variety of influences and styles – so is his music and what else than Plastic City could be the perfect platform for the height of his creativity. Last year he had his first appearance at "Play Plastic City" and his debut EP "Behind Doors" earlier this year drew attention to this fantastic musician, producer and DJ. The "Rhode Stories" again verify his sense for high quality listening stuff: He rolls out his musical range while connecting all tracks like writing a book. He produced several introductions for the "chapters" and after listening the whole album one is convinced about a theory behind the compilation of the songs. He rides on a wave of downbeat, electro, house, easy listening and some more ingredients which make you feel comfortable about listening to the "Stories" again and again. This is an outstanding collection of tracks – influenced by people, life and musical history and hits bulls eye aiming at the Plastic City philosophy. Enjoy the warm and bright atmosphere - high quality listening pleasure!
Forteba - Space Between Us

Forteba or Krisztian Dobrocsi, as he is known to his proud parents, hails from the Hungarian city of Vac where he found his true calling relatively early, with sweet eighteen: producing electronic music of all colours. His early compositions were settled near breakbeat and chill-out area but he soon found his passion in straight rhythms and arrangements inspired by German deep-house stuff. He is setting exceptional production standards, sophisticated rhythms and arrangements which combine house music and elements and atmospheres of dub and ambient. His debut on Plastic City once again brought more emotion and deepness to the standardised landscape of house. The second single is taken from the upcoming album of the hungarian producer who is reinterpreting and developing all facets of house music. It's a delicate extract of his style diversity. Broad, deep and breathtakingly beautiful – meanwhile always forward and clubby.
Rob Pearson vs. C-Soul feat. Robert Owens
Rob Pearson was growing up in South London, had various musical influences and soon started creating his own sound regardless of the gear he was using. He has been working amongst Tippa Irie, Cedric Myton & The Congos, Marc Almond, So Solid, UKApache and many more, produced number one hits, runs Evasive Records as a successful label and has been in business at studio and countless decks for more than a decade. Actually he's workin on his debut album and with "Escape from the Madness" he is proving his status as underground house hero collaborating with Robert Owens who worked with the likes of Coldcut and Photek and comes up with his lovely voice. Incl. a massive The Timewriter Remix!
