Stripped Recordings

We welcome Irish producer SILINDER to the fold for release number 16 on Stripped Recordings. His track Rubberhup has al;ready recieved mant plays chart action and rave reviews from SASHA (who features the track on his special Thank You Mix 2008 live from Amnesia,Ibiza on his website www.djsasha.com),HERNAN CATTANEO & JAMES ZABIELA to name three.
Now the track will be available for the first time just before Xmas with a remix ep to follow in early 2009. SILINDER http://www.myspace.com/silinder Silinder is the brainchild of Gav Mulhall. Born back in 2002 from a love of dark and electronic sounds.
You won’t have to listen too hard to hear Silinder’s diverse range of musical influences in his music, which ranges from, Nine Inch Nails, The Cure and Depeche Mode, to, Infusion, Evil Nine and King Unique. The first Silinder tracks to be produced were “The Light Gets In”, “Junkfool” and “Shadowplay”,and it wasn’t long untill these were picked up by Irish label “Fudge Recordings” and were made available on the various digital download sites.
These debut tracks showcased Silinder’s dark side of progressive house and breakbeat. Moving forward to 2005, a young dj by the name of James Zabiela picked up the Silinder remixes of New Order’s “Blue Monday and his own track “Robophobia”, and decided that they were good enough to spin on his travels around the globe. The Silinder remix of “Robophobia” was also featured on the september issue of Dj Mag cover cd which was mixed by Meat Katie and James himself and released on Dj Download by Renaissance.
Now in 2007,Silinder has releases on numerous labels including Renaissance and Kriece’s own Kindred Label Group and Composure Records UK and in 2008 has signed music to Irish based label Amalgam Audio and Manchester's Segment Records and the Stripped stable.
He is now busy in the studio a couple of new tracks and remixes for us and we are pleased to have this accomplished producer in the fold.

8th December 2008 will see the release of ‘Williams’ Blood’, the first single to be taken from Grace Jones’ breathtaking new album, ‘Hurricane’, released on Wall Of Sound.
Enigmatic Grace, who this week released her first studio album in nearly twenty years, has been enjoying a stunning return. Hurricane, the new LP co-produced by Grace herself along with Ivor Guest, has seen Ms Jones collaborate with old friends Sly and Robbie as well as the likes of Brian Eno.
2008 has seen the recently crowned Q Awards Idol winner reenter the public consciousness with a sensational show at this year’s Meltdown Festival that was the live event of the year and startling recent appearances on “Tonight With Jonathan Ross” and ‘Later… with Jools Holland”. A dramatic, uplifting and positive track, ‘Williams’ Blood’ projects Grace’s versatility and relevance in today’s pop culture.
With guest vocals from Grace’s mother, Marjorie, the track is a personal insight into the World of Ms Jones. A video directed by the elusive (and highly selective) Chris Cunnigham is also in production, promising to add further kudos and attention to this already iconic campaign. Remixes of the track come courtesy of Mad Professor, Greg Wilson and Ivor Guest - with more to be announced in the very near future.
Also just announced are the UK Hurricane tour dates, which will sweep across the UK in January 2009.
