Amsterdam – is there a city crazier, freer,
more laid-back than the Dutch capital?
Famous for its unique offerings that attract revellers
from all over the planet who enjoy the liberal spirit
and the great culture, Amsterdam has turned
into a number one party spot. Which, naturally,
makes it the ideal destination for Jérome,
the German house DJ who created his own series
of mixes aptly named after party hot spots,
inviting guest DJs to join him on his funky trip.
Two years ago, DJ Jérome, also known for his
Luxury House Mixes that stand for sophisticated
partying in a spirited way, got behind the
decks with Gianni N. to mix the compilation
“Eivissa pres. by Gianni N. und Jérome” which
perfectly captured the spirit of this sun-drenched
island in an authentic way.
Now, in 2007, he teams up with colleague
Vincent van Borgen, a local newcomer who knows
all the secret hotspots of his city, Amsterdam.
Together they musically guide the listener
through the pulsating party capital, spinning
fresh tracks by authentic artists like DJ Pippi,
Peter Presta, Yonderboi, Lenny Fontana,
Claude Monnet and Rene Breitbarth and even
one production by Jérome and his studio
friend Zamrate. The mix, a 74-minute homage
to crazy, vocal driven, slightly messy house nights
in one of the most breathtaking cities Europe has to offer
, is perfectly capturing the essence of its electric
party vibe which Jérome, a true DJ veteran
and party trooper, loves to spread wherever he plays.
Lifting up mood and spirit, the energetic yet
light-hearted “Amsterdam” mix is the perfect
companion for a trip to the Dam. Get ready to
